Ginseng is known for its antioxidant and anti-aging benefits. Used for thousands of years, it strengthens the follicles and roots of hair, encouraging new growth. It also prevents hair thinning and breakage. The root has Saponin, an anti-bacterial compound, that helps to sweep away dandruff from the scalp, helping your follicles stay clean and flake-free.
Horsetail Herb helps improve circulation, leading to the improvement of hair follicles to help stimulate hair growth. It also adds sheen to the appearance and strength to the hair shafts. It contains selenium and cysteine known to promote healthy hair growth.
Organic Coconut Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is a mild soap-free cleansing agent known for its ability to mitigate disruption of the skin’s barrier. It is derived from coconut and is regarded as compatible with sensitive skin.
Starch obtained from corn lends a silky feel and is great at absorbing excess oil.
Rice Water is an excellent remedy for hair. the amino acids present in rice water aid hair growth and regeneration. It also contains Vitamin E, C, and B - all essential for hair growth and health.
Aloe Vera has soothing properties, antioxidant qualities, and serves as a hydrating agent for skin due to its polysaccharide and sterol content.
Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (Bean) is a fine powder derived from cluster beans. It functions as a conditioning agent for skin and hair, helps deposit active ingredients on skin and/or hair, and also provides anti-static properties without weighing hair down.
Polymnia Sonchifolia Root Juice (Yacon Root) has moisturizing properties for the skin. It also gives energizing properties by the stimulation of mechanisms, helping with cell reparation mechanisms.
Bixa Orellana Since ancient Mayan civilization, indigenous tribes of the South American rainforest have relied on Bixa Orellana's bright red annatto seeds. It is a powerful antioxidant that helps to reduce the overproduction of lipids in sebaceous glands.

Why powder? Do you know that personal care products are made up of 80% to 95% water? Water is an inexpensive filler that is readily available from the tap
1. Our powder is a concentrate, without water fillers
  Conventional brands add water to liquid products, and the water does not enhance the formula in anyway. On the contrary, you need a larger quantity of liquid for a single wash, because it has been diluted by water.
  BHUMAN uses proprietary Waterless Tech™ to create a pure powder concentrate. You end up paying only for the ingredients, not cheap water fillers.
2. Powder is 90% lower in CO2 emissions
  Water is heavy to transport. According to the US EPA, transportation mainly comes from burning fossil fuels in cars, trucks, ships, trains, and planes. It is the #1 contributor to CO2 emissions.
  When you wash, you still need to use water to wet your hair or skin to lather the product.
  Why then are brands shipping water – the #1 ingredient in most liquid personal care – in single-use plastics around the world to us? This simply didn’t make sense to us.
How much should I use?
Each bottle comes with a reusable EasyPour™ flip cap. For your first use, remember to replace the aluminum screw cap with the EasyPour™ flip cap.
1. Always start with very wet hair.
2. Flip open the EasyPour™ flip cap, you only need a few shakes to wash your hair:
  - 2 shakes (0.5 grams) for short hair
  - 4 shakes (1g) for shoulder length hair
  - 6 shakes (1.5g to 2g) for thick long hair
3. Activate the powder between your wet palms and apply to drenched hair. For more lather, add more water to hair.
4. Double cleanse to remove the build-up on your scalp. This way, you can stretch out the time until the next hair wash.
5. Rinse well. Follow immediately by a hair conditioner for the ends of your hair, avoiding your scalp and roots. Rinse again.
How many washes can I expect from a bottle? Our 50 grams bottle can last up to 50 washes, which means you only need to buy a new bottle every 1.5 to 2 months.

Most liquid shampoos are 250ml to 500ml (8 fluid oz to 16 fluid oz) which last for 1 to 2 months. The general rule of thumb is 100ml of liquid shampoo lasts for 10 washes.
That’s why we received the third-party certification for “Compact by Design” and “Climate Pledge Friendly”. Our unit efficiency is superior and helps reduce greenhouse emissions by at least 90%.

What is the expiration date? The shelf life is 24 months after opening. For best results, keep the bottle in a dry and cool environment so the contents remain fresh and dry.
What are the fragrance ingredients made of? Essential oils
Which hair types are the products good for? We have 3 different variants for different hair type. If you bleach and color your hair often, we recommend you follow the hair wash with a conditioner.
Which scalp types are the products good for? Our formula targets normal to oily scalps with build-up. Our vegan formula helps to gently detox without overtripping your scalp.
Are your products unisex? Can teenagers or young children use this? Yes, it is made for everyone. Even though it has not been tested as a tear-free formula, it is also suitable for children - under adult supervision.

Are your products safe to use during pregnancy?
It is generally recommended to avoid certain essential oils during pregnancy. We recommend consulting with your doctor to ensure the products you use are safe to use during pregnancy.
We are looking to develop unscented options that are free of fragrance and essential oils if there is enough demand.
Is this the same as a dry shampoo? No, it is not. This is a water-activated powder to lather shampoo. It lathers and washes like any other liquid hair wash on wet hair.
Are your products vegan and cruelty free? Yes, our products are both vegan and cruelty-free. All our products are made without any animal-derived ingredients and are ingredients and finished products not tested on animals.
Are your products free of sulfates, parabens, and silicones? Yes, our products are proudly free of sulfates, parabens, and silicones.
Can I add water to the powder in the bottle and create a pre-mix? No. We don't recommend this.
The powder works best being activated between wet hands, then used on very wet hair. Mixing water with the powder in the bottle won’t get you a liquid product and over time it would create a ripe environment for bacteria, yeast, and mold to grow.
Is this color-safe? If you have color-treated hair, try to avoid shampoos with sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). These surfactants are very effective at cleaning with SLS being stronger. As with great cleansers, they remove the free lipids present in the hair intercuticular layers. Once this protective hydrophobic layer is gone, water penetrates hair, and the result is faster color loss. Sulfates shampoos can contribute to faster color loss.
Our shampoos are free of SLS and SLES. Our coconut-based surfactants mild so the color loss rate is slower. There really is no such thing as a “color safe” shampoo because as long as water is involved, fading will occur.
Our tip is to double cleanse each time, so you thoroughly remove any scalp build-up. This allows you to stretch out the time between hair washes, which in turn, allow your color-treated hair to last longer.
Are your products TSA travel friendly? Yes, they all are! Our compact powder wash is light, mess-free, and leak-proof. Simply bring it with you in your cabin bag or check-in luggage. That said, you could easily travel with our powder wash for an impromptu weekend getaway.
In the United States, TSA does not allow passengers to bring more than 350 grams (12 ounces) of powder in a carry-on bag. There is no limit for powder in a checked bag in the United States. You can read more about the TSA policies here.

Do you offer any sample sizes of your products?
No, we currently do not offer any samples.
How often can I reuse the aluminum packaging?
Aluminum is an infinitely recyclable material. In some areas where we have refillery partners, and the bulk refill is available in powder format, you can head to that retail partner with your clean and dry bottle to refill the bottle. You can reuse the bottle again and again.
How do I recycle your aluminum bottles? Disassemble and keep the flip cap, it can be reused. You can simply toss your aluminum bottle into your curbside recycling bin, along with other aluminum soda cans.
